Slavery is still Thriving.

What We have been Told in the History Class

Ask a high school child if slavery has been abolished and they might well reply that of course it has and tell you flatly “Don’t you know about William Wilberforce?” if British, or quote the Civil War if American. That of course is what they have been told in their history class because that is what those who govern the world want them to believe – but if they have been blessed with an inquiring mind even a shallow dip into the matter will convince them that slavery is still very much with us. Here I am not talking about child labor or even sweat shop labor, horrendous enough on their own, but the kind of slavery that is completely endemic to our lives. We are like the fish in the ocean, completely unaware of the extent that we are actually enslaved.

Fortunately the tide (to use another oceanic metaphor) is turning. Forward thinking people even as far back as 1989, were looking for a way between the unworkable and the unsustainable; what they called the Third Way. It has become ever more obvious that rampant capitalism is on a path of implosion. Increasing numbers of people around the world are starting to realize this and are taking action to either expose it or to create new transparent systems that will lead to abundance for all.

Whistle Blower Heroes

As the extent of the fraud and control that is imposed upon us becomes more obvious due to the brave efforts of whistle blower heroes like Julian Assange, Edward Snowden and Karen Hudes. We the people tend to react with either anger or rebellion, sometimes channeled into very creative ways of ensuring freedom within the rules of common law. A very good overview of all this is the book by David Ash, The Role of Evil in Human Evolution. The spiritual background to it is covered in a recently launched book by Roger Nichols, Weaving the Web, presently only available as an eBook

Creating Awareness

There are many organizations that are doing sterling work in creating awareness, especially social media channels not selling private information and free of censorship like Minds.com and MeWe.com. Activist groups like the Occupy Movement, the anti-Monsanto movement, and Anonymous. Movie makers like the Wachowsky brothers (V for Vendetta) and the makers of The East. as well as citizen journalists and alternative news channels (both online radio shows and alternative news sites and even TV stations.

The point is that if you are a person who relies on mainstream media, both TV and newspapers you will never get the truth.

There are also independent movie makers and writers who have devoted their lives to making people aware and offering tools to help with the process. Of course becoming aware is always a choice, but at least choices are being offered. I believe in the Boy Scout Motto “Be Prepared”.

Prime examples are movie maker and author Peter McGugan with his book Occupy Consciousness and former member of the Secret Government Stewart Swerdlow with his eye-opening book Blue Blood, True Blood. Interesting that the etymology of the word ‘government comes from govern = control, and ‘ment’ = the mind..

While learning about all this I feel that it is important to retain an observer state of mind – unaffected by sensation or hype. We have to remember the catch phrase that David Icke points out is used by the Cabal to enslave us “Problem, Reaction, Solution”. The key word here is “reaction”. If we react based on awareness about the truth then we can provide solutions that serve the interests of humanity instead of those of the Cabal whose aim is to keep us in slavery.

One World Order

Governments, (especially the USA alleged government) have been pounding on for years about their agenda of establishing a New World Order (World Government). The key question here is who has the say, who chooses, who decides what is good for us. Quite obviously if it is imposed by the elite we, the living breathing people, will have no say in the matter, so it might be a question of “shut up and behave or we will send in the SWAT team” as in V for Vendetta.

Not one of ‘we the people’ wishes to calmly accept this, and that is why there is an increasing call for freedom of choice. We can see even on the controlled mainstream media that uprisings are happening all over the world; everywhere from Brazil to Egypt to Thailand. These ‘governments’ are perceived as having no legitimacy because they represent the corporations and not we the people. In fact they are actually corporations registered on the New York Securities Exchange. With a few notable exceptions they are all for profit Corporations masquerading as governments. Yes, and they all have central banks owned by the Rothschild group; all except Cuba, North Korea and Iran and until recent years also Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya.

At a soul level we are all One people, so if we as humanity can settle on a universal benchmark for life on Earth that encompasses all the basic needs, then we can finally look forward to peace and even prosperity.

Planning for Financial Collapse

Sometimes I like to ask people “What would you do if the banks closed tomorrow?” Mostly I get blank stares, because this is beyond the comprehension of the ‘man in the street’. This is not just a rhetorical question, because this has happened in recent times (Argentina 2001) and it is in fact unavoidable; a question of when not if, so we had better look at this question. In practical terms this means that the only currency in circulation will be the cash in the system (currently less than 10% of money in the economy). This means that we will not be able to buy anything – no food, no fuel, no bus fare; serious stuff!

What did Argentina do to survive? Fortunately for them they had the foresight to establish trading clubs around the country, so after all the banks closed (corrugated iron over the shop fronts), they established links between the trading clubs to allow country wide commerce and exchanges to take place. By and large we in the West have no systems like this in place, so you can imagine the chaos that would ensue. Fighting in the street over a can of beans will seem tame.

New Systems

I want to give you a feeling that there is a huge multi-pronged effort coming into being in recent months to establish new systems to run the world’s economy. The Community Exchange System (also known as the Talent Exchange) was founded in 2002 in Cape Town, South Africa and has since grown to include many other exchanges around the world all linked into one big online system. This is a system of mutual credit, essentially keeping a transparent record of every member’s activity and balance. The system itself is always in balance, some members being in credit and some in debit. It is an extremely liberating and abundant system, since there seem to be none of those horrible limiting thoughts like “can I afford what I want to buy?”. My own experience has been that it is easy to make money; less easy to spend it! In this system the value is placed in the skills that a member has to offer. Money in the bank has no relevance.

Others such as The Lawful Bank have developed a bank based on common law principles, and most importantly without usury. A group of public minded programmers has made a complete open source (and free) program to start and run your own bank,

A growing number of people are proposing a world without money, two of which are the Free World Charter and the Ubuntu Liberation Movement in South Africa founded by Michael Tellinger. I have to admit that at first I thought this to be a crazy idea, but the more one looks at it the more it makes sense. So much of the world’s trouble comes from the need to make money just to survive. The poor in South Africa are always clamoring for ‘jobs’ but what they actually need is shelter, food, and health services and this can all be achieved without money if people are prepared to contribute time and skills. Cuba achieved food security by practicing urban farming, and now there is a growing food garden initiative taking place.

Another courageous South African now based in Holland is Mel Ve, whose web site contains a wealth of sometimes radical material that you never knew before which might be vital to our future.
